Cultural Education: Elevating Lakota and Ute Mountain Ute Voices

Parent Advocate Katie Correll and DOJ Director for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Peter Ortego, will present on their tribes’ unique culture and customs and how we can build meaningful partnerships with our families and tribal representatives. Katie and Peter will also touch on the legalities at play in ICWA cases, including active efforts requirement and venue transfer to tribal court.
