Housing Our Unhoused Neighbors

Parent Defenders consistently cite housing as the primary barrier to family reunification in D&N cases. Come learn from ORPC Parent Advocate (and housing wizard) Sonia Neblett how you can support your unhoused families and get their children home. Sonia will teach you what information you need to get from your unhoused clients as soon as you join their defense team, and the processes and resources to get them housed as soon as possible. Sonia will also touch on special considerations that may come up in housing, such as felony convictions, sex offender status, and immigration status.
