Zaven (“Z”) Saroyan

Zaven (“Z”) Saroyan is the Appellate Director at the ORPC. Prior to joining the ORPC, Z was in private practice where he concentrated in trial and appellate litigation, including as a Respondent Parent Counsel at both the trial and appellate levels, and was honored to be named the 2020 Appellate Counsel of the Year by the ORPC. During his 20 years as an attorney, Z also served as the senior legal advisor to the Honorable Charles E. Erdmann, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Prior to this, Z served for eight years in the United States Air Force, where he was ranked as the best appellate defense counsel and one of the top trial defense counsel. Before joining the military, Z practiced with large law firms, including one of the largest in the world.
